ACE&CS Ltd is a research-oriented start-up company for mechanics. The company was founded by a young mechanician in 2014 in order that it will provide highly specialised computing, engineering and consulting services for industry and the general public. Although principal activities of the company are research and development, ACE&CS Ltd also provides for its customers a range of advanced computational, engineering and consulting services which the company categorizes as services for large, medium and small-sized companies and entrepreneurs respectively.

ACE&CS Ltd provides solutions to problems of basic and applied research and it offers a limited range of advanced computational and engineering services for large and medium-sized companies.
Research areas
The founders of the company have decades of expertise and significant results in the area of computational mechanics and computational material science. They have special skills and knowledge of all of the three areas of engineering research, namely theory development, theory implementation into a computational code and computations using commercial and own computational software. As a result, the company can offer solutions to wide range of problems of basic and applied research in the area of mechanics and material science. Basic research
Within basic research ACE&CS Ltd offers material model and computational code development for advanced engineering computations or material testing using the finite element method. The related activities also include scientific studies of complex material behaviour, material property determination using inverse analyses and combined computational experimental methods. The latter is the only method to gain some information about material properties of a deformable body which undergoes large deformations at high strain rates under extreme conditions where direct measurements of material properties during experiments/material testing have serious limitations.
Applied research
Within applied research ACE&CS Ltd offers structural, technology and process optimization using proven and state of the art computational procedures in the finite element method to analyse deformable body behaviour, compressible and incompressible fluid flow, various technological and manufacturing processes and material testing procedures. In the research areas where specific experiments are required, ACE&CS Ltd offers its assistance to develop the very best experimental procedures. The activities range from test specimen geometry optimization, material testing procedure optimization, sensor spatial distribution proposal to material model and computational code development for indirect material testing.
